Flora, Fauna and Fungi is a book based on content from the existing Wikipedia page about fungi. I downloaded the web page to apply my own formatting. The book incorporates creative coding, utilising HTML and CSS to design the page layout. It also features images of fungi that have been photoshopped in high contrast to emphasise their shapes, contours, and structural details. This includes intricate features like gills, spores, and mycelium.

For the book, I used the Fungal font*, which features various font styles, each with its own spore effect. As the font thickness increases, the spore effect grows more pronounced, visually representing the spread of fungal spores. The growing spore effect serves as a visual metaphor for fungal growth, making the typography an integral part of the book's theme.

I designed the book so that when you open the HTML file in a web browser (such as Google Chrome) and press CTRL + P, it transforms into a print-ready layout.
